It is advisable that you wear good sturdy footwear to all walks and bring a packed lunch. Most walks are open ended and if the weather plays ball and people are up for carrying on then a good long day of mushie mooching can be had. REMEMBER: The walks I do are not aimed at gathering edibles and foraging for foodies. The walks are done so as to encourage others to go out and appreciate these fascinating life forms and if this makes peoples walks a little more interesting, gives one a little bit more knowledge and builds up a greater respect and understanding of the natural world then I reckon the job is a good un'. Several sites I do walks at do not permit the taking of species anyway so please bear this in mind when attending. |
